Welcome

North Paw K9 Search and Recovery, a non-profit volunteer organization, was founded in 2016 to help fill the need for an urban K9 search & recovery asset in the Municipality of Anchorage and throughout the state of Alaska. Today, North Paw K9 Search & Recovery provides urban and wilderness K9s trained in trailing, human remains detection, and scent-specific airscent.

Together with the Anchorage Search Team, North Paw K9 Search & Recovery provides additional assets such as incident command, ground support, lost person behavior knowledge, and vehicular support.

Team members are certified internally and through national organizations such as NSDA and NASAR.
